ITL’s Testing Meets Lighting Design Lab’s Requirements
The Lighting Design Lab promotes quality design and energy efficient technologies via education & training, consultations, technical assistance, and demonstrations.
The Lab is operated by Seattle City Light with support from Northwest regional utilities and NEEA (Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance). As one of its many services the Lighting Design Lab maintains two lists of Qualified LED products; one for lamps and one for fixtures and tubes. Northwest utilities use this list to approve lighting rebates while products are waiting for ENERGY STAR or DesignLights Consortium® (DLC) approval. One of the steps required for inclusion on the Qualified LED products list is an LM-79 test report from a Lighting Facts® approved test lab. ITL is an approved LED Lighting Facts test laboratory.
